    Otome Plateau is a meadow of subalpine alpine plants (a general term for plants found in mountainous areas between 1,500 m and 2,000 m above sea level) that stretches to the north-west of Makigaoka-cho, Yamanashi, on the border with Kofu City, at an altitude of approximately 1,700 m. It is a natural flower garden.
    It is a 'natural flower garden' where a variety of flowers bloom in different seasons, including cherry violets in spring and renge azaleas in early summer. In addition to flowers, the Otome Plateau is also home to trees, mushrooms, birds, insects, animals and stars, which attract many visitors in search of nature.
    The Otome Plateau Fan Club plays a central role in maintaining the plateau, with volunteers carrying out various conservation activities, such as continuing to cut the grass and building walking trails.
