The Yamanashi Prefectural Museum of Fine Arts was able to collect some of Millet's most famous works, such as The Sower, and has been known and loved as the 'Millet Museum' since 1978.
The museum's concept is ‘Sowing Seeds, Opening the World’.
The act of ‘sowing’ has the meaning of taking a step forward, accomplishing something with one's own hands, starting something, and connecting to the future.
The concept of 'opening the world' is not to 'open the world' with force, but to express the image of a world that opens naturally.
The museum also holds exhibitions as 'Minabi', which are open to everyone, including adults, children and people with disabilities.ADDRESS 1-4-27, Kougawa, Kofu, Yamanashi 400-0065, Japan PHONE 055-228-3322 E-MAIL spsyamanashipr@sps.sgn.ne.jp ACCESS By train
