The Yunoku Kinzan Museum was opened in 1997 as a facility where visitors can not only see, but also experience, the Yunoku Kinzan site, which has long been familiar to the townspeople through folklore as ‘Shingen's hidden gold mine’, and was the fourth mining site in Japan and the third gold mine site to be designated as a national historic site. The museum was opened in 1997.
The museum offers visitors the chance to immerse themselves in the world of medieval gold mines through a film theatre, dioramas, a reference exhibition room and a gold-panning experience based on the theme of mining operations during the Warring States period.ADDRESS 1787 Kami-no-Hira, Minami-Juma-gun, Minami-Juma-cho, Yamanashi, 409-2947 Japan PHONE 0556-36-0015 (main line) E-MAIL From enquiry.
