A Hot Spring with the Marvelous Panoramic View of Kofu Basin
Mitama Hot Spring is a one-day spa located on top of the hill surrounded by fruit farms in Ichikawa-misato. It is a natural hot spring with the view of mountains around such as Yatsugatake, and taking their open-air bath makes you feel as if you are a part of nature. Their specialties using the local farm products are highly recommended, and you can buy fresh fruits and vegetables at the farm stands next door.
A dark brown hot spring
The clear dark brown color of their hot water is not from iron oxide, but from natural organic matter which has melted out from highly valuable ancient plants that ages about one million years. The hot spring sits in the open crack of the Fossa Magna deep in the ground, and the genuine hot water has been produced slowly taking countless time.

Each time you visit, they show different faces which give you one and only memory.
The night view that looks as if jewels are sprinkled
Many local people stop by after work at Mitama Hot Spring in order to see the night view. They are open until 23:00 so it may be a nice idea to relax yourself in hot water after supper.

They encourage people to eat local foods using vegetables harvested around Mitama Hot Spring, and create local cuisine. Enjoy their specialty and fine local sake. It is a great time to have after the bath.
Nutritious vegetables and fruits which has grown up on the fertile land
In Otsuka district of Ichikawa-misato Town in Yamanshi, they call the fertile land with granular soil “noppui.” The crops made with “noppui” are said to be of good quality and to taste good. In winter, they harvest Otsuka-carrot which grows up about 1 m in size, root vegetables, chijimi(shrinking)-spinach and strawberry, in spring, coleseed green that Ichikawa-misato is famous for, bamboo shoots, other edible wild plants, and sweet “Kankan-musume”-corn that can be eaten raw, and in summer, peach and grapes that “Fruits Kingdom” Yamanashi is famous for. A variety of fruits and vegetables are harvested all year round and are used in various dishes.
Fresh fruits and vegetables sold at the farm stands
You can buy fresh local fruits and vegetables at a low price. They are all fresh from farmyard, and smells like soil. The name of producer is printed on the package, which gives reliability to the products. If you find your favorite producers, you can come back to them next time.
They use the method of releasing the stress of your body and activate your natural healing power by applying pressure to your muscles and bones which are out of position. Relax your mind and body. You also can get a massage on your foot pressure point or an oil massage. Why not try a massage so that you can have a luxurious time after the bath.
Demonstration sales of Japanese signature stamps
The signature stamps creation in Ichikawa-misato Town (previously called Rokugo Town) has a history of 100 years. They became widely known in Japan as new technologies has been innovated, and now, Ichikawa-misato is famous as a town of signature stamps, holding 50% of share in Japan. At the demonstration stand, you can see the craftsman curve delicate lines on a shaft and create stamps right in front of you.
