Lake Kawaguchi, one of the Fuji Five Lakes designated as Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, is in the Sagami River system and is the second largest of the Fuji Five Lakes, with an island called Unoshima in the middle of the lake.
It has the longest shoreline of the five lakes, with spots for seasonal flowers and plants (cherry blossoms in spring, lavender in summer, maple and kochia in autumn) along the lakeside, and is famous as a superb spot for photographing Mt Fuji when viewed from along Lake Kawaguchi, and there are also many facilities for lake sports such as fishing and boating.ADDRESS 3641-1 Funatsu, Fujikawaguchiko-machi, Minamitsuru-gun, Yamanashi, Japan 401-0301 PHONE 0555-72-6700 E-MAIL None.
