    Fuji, and is the deepest of the Fuji Five Lakes with a depth of 121.6 m and ‘No.1 transparency in Honshu’. It is the westernmost of the Fuji Five Lakes and is also famous as the location used in the design of the upside-down Fuji depicted on the reverse side of the 1,000 yen note E-Go note and 5,000 yen note D, which can be viewed from the Nakanokura Pass observation area on the west shore of Lake Motosu.
